Nestled in the heart of San Francisco’s vibrant Mission District, Plow is the quintessential New American restaurant that has captured the imaginations – and taste buds – of locals and visitors alike. With a cozy atmosphere that invites you to stay a little longer, Plow has earned its reputation not just from delicious food, but also from its commitment to quality ingredients and an innovative menu that shines during breakfast and brunch hours.

As you enter, the aroma of freshly prepared dishes wafts through the air, enticing you to explore their breakfast offerings. One of the highlights is undoubtedly The Plow breakfast plate, an indulgent arrangement of eggs cooked to your liking, paired with succulent house-made pork sausage and crispy golden plow potatoes. The pancakes are a must-try too, with options like the lemon ricotta pancakes that burst with bright flavors, or the rich and fluffy almond flour pancakes served with butter and pure maple syrup.

For a family-friendly touch, the little ones can indulge in creations such as Papa Joel's egginahole, featuring perfectly cooked eggs nestled in toast, accompanied by addictive plow potatoes. The buttermilk biscuits with honey butter have stolen the hearts of many, transforming simple ingredients into a delightful experience that keeps diners coming back for more.

While the food is a clear highlight, the dining atmosphere at Plow offers a warm, communal vibe where you might find yourself sharing tables with fellow food enthusiasts. Regular customers rave about the friendly service, making each visit feel personal and warmly welcomed. As Anna aptly describes, "Great service from start to finish" puts an exclamation point on an already enjoyable experience. However, be prepared for a wait, especially on weekends, as the intimate space tends to fill up quickly. But as Lina eloquently puts it, “once the food hit the table, it all made sense.”

In summary, with an array of delectable options and a homey atmosphere, Plow stands not only as a culinary gem but also as a beloved brunch destination. Don’t miss out on the chance to savor a comforting breakfast in a place where food and community come together flawlessly.

Plow is one of those San Francisco brunch spots that lives up to the hype—and the line out the door proves it. Even on a Friday morning before 11 a.m., we had to wait about 45 minutes, but once the food hit the table, it all made sense. We ordered “The Plow,” their signature plate with eggs your way, sausage, crispy potatoes, and two pancakes. The potatoes were golden and addictive, the pancakes fluffy and melt-in-your-mouth—easily the stars of the plate. We also tried the albacore tuna sandwich, which was fresh and flavorful. The vibe is bright and cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the service kept things running smoothly despite the crowd. If you go, come hungry, bring patience for the wait, and know that the first bite of those potatoes and pancakes will make it all worthwhile.

I’ve eaten here twice now and my absolute favorite thing is the biscuit with honey butter. it’s a large buttery, perfectly baked biscuit that comes with a generous side of honey butter. Overall, their food is good, the plow breakfast plate gets a solid 7/10 from me. But for a 90min - 2hr wait, which is common here on the weekend because the space is small, I want a meal that’s unforgettable. People seem to really love this place and I love that for the restaurant! Next time they see me, it’ll be to order that biscuit again.

Great service from start to finish. We came around noon on a Wednesday and it was surprisingly busy. The space is small, so seating can be tight you might end up sharing a table unintentionally. Our food came out quickly and everything tasted fresh, clearly made in-house. I had the fried chicken sandwich, which was good but could’ve used a bit more flavor. The buttercream biscuit was my favorite thing I tried so good! I’m definitely coming back to try one of the sweet dishes they looked delicious.

The lemon and ricotta pancakes were 10/10. I had The Plow for breakfast with the sausages and every single thing in my plate was to die for. The servers were super nice. Amazon overall experience. Definitely want to go back.

tried the chia seed pudding which was amazing and the toppings worked perfectly together, also tried the fried egg sandwich which was good and the potatoes were crispy but a large portion. we split the almond flour pancakes and added the house jam, they were good but probably wouldn’t get again as the consistency was not to our liking. Overall an amazing experience and would definitely come back.

I would say the food here is solid. There is usually an hour to 1.5 hour wait, but we managed to get in after 30 minutes since most people seem to leave. I’m not sure the food is worth the wait, but it’s worth a shot if you’re nearby.

Cozy and nicely situated in a bit distant neighborhood, away from the tourist attractions which gives it a home style food spot. We enjoyed great breakfast, especially those distinguished “lemon ricotta pancakes” along with scrambled eggs, and surely, many cups of great Americano coffee. I commend the notable customer attention and prompt service, despite the busy pace and the pretty filled seatings with many customers. In case you arrive late, expect to line in the queue…it worth waiting.
